Wordless Wednesday: I am a Pixmum

I made a castle and a paper aquarium using the new Pixma printer. And I’ll be trying the Russian cathedral after unpacking in the new house.

Canon launched their PIXMA printables website and Pixma printables campaign and, being the craft addict that I am, I decided to join.

There’s the PIXMUM program, which is basically using the printer to create DIY arts and crafts at home. You create stuff from scratch with your kids using the printables on the website. I know they probably meant for me to have some craft time with my little one, but after browsing through the printables on the website, my inner craft woman screamed for the more complex models.

At one point, I even wanted to make the model of the Russian church – not to say I won’t though. I got plenty of paper and glue left.

So for the first one, I picked the Merry go round picture Castle template. It’s too complicated to make with my 3 ½ year old MiniMe but it is educational and enjoyable to play with after Mummy’s done putting it together.

Canon has also partnered with Fox Studios for the upcoming release of Ice Age 4 (we love this series). I’ll be taking the whole family to watch it after we move houses next week (and if we ever get rid of this virus).

The funny thing is that I’ve wanted a new header with a 3D pop up effect and I think I can do this using one of the Pixma printables. Looking forward to making the Eiffel Tower soon!

And because I am so awesome, I even “deliberately” pasted the blimp upside down. Hubby says it looks like a plane ;)
