What do you when it’s the weekend and it’s hot and you want a nice cold drink of something with a kick?
Make it yourself.
With one use of the Tefal Cuisine Companion, I created two yummy things – a jelly dessert and a vodka sangria.
First, I mixed 3 cups of frozen raspberries, two cups of water and rice malt syrup (you can substitute this for honey or sugar). I used the slow cook setting for 10 minutes or so until the frozen raspberries are cooked.
Meanwhile, I mixed 3 ½ tablespoons of the IQS Gelatine with 1/3 cup cold water and let it set until it’s a woobly goop (an actual scientific name).
Taste the raspberry juice and adjust according to your taste. If you need to add more sugar or honey, then add more.
For the Sangria:
Pour half of the mixture into a pitcher. Add more water if it’s too strong. Squeeze two oranges into the pitcher.
Add half a bottle of vodka – or a whole bottle depending on how bad your week was.
If you have other fruits in the house, like kiwi or watermelon, slice them up and mix it with the drink.
Let it cool in the fridge.
For the Raspberry Jello:
Add the cup of woobly goop to the other half of raspberry mixture in the Cuisine Companion.
I used the slow cook function for a couple of minutes until it’s all mixed together.
Pour the mixture into moulds and let it cool in the fridge for 2-3 hours.
Drink the Sangria with dinner and have the Raspberry Jello for dessert. Two yums with one ingredient.
Disclosure: I received a complimentary Cuisine Companion from Tefal for this partnership.
