It’s the most wonderful time of the year. When eating heaps of decadent foods has an excuse – Christmas holidays.
So for this blog entry I wanted to do something Christmassy that also doesn’t take much time and is very delicious. I let my daughter go through the dessert menu, much to her delight.
She picked around 10 recipes she wanted me to make, of course. But I settled for the easiest yummiest one – something you can do quickly on Christmas Eve or Christmas day.
The Chocolate Mousse is ready in 20 minutes (10 minutes to prepare and 10 minutes to make in the Tefal Cuisine Companion) plus a two-hour chill period. You can do it the night before or that morning, and the ingredients are not hard to find.
I wanted to try it out first before the actual day. So I made some the night before with the intention of decorating it to make it pretty for photography the next day.
Unfortunately, it was the only thing I could think of that I wanted for dessert. There was an obsessive throbbing in my head, screaming for the chocolate mousse in the fridge.
So I raided the fridge and made a huge hole in the mousse. I did leave enough to decorate with silver sprinkles for photography.
It is really good. Very decadent and thick. It’s not your usual grocery mousse that’s like air. This one has substance. You don’t need much to have your fill of chocolate. In fact, the bowl here was too much for me to finish. Serve this in smaller containers to make it go a long way.
Disclosure: I received a complimentary Cuisine Companion from Tefal for this partnership.
